Massage Continuing Education School Overview

Our Texas massage continuing education classes are designed to meet the needs of beginning therapists and seasoned professionals at our San Antonio facility. We present quality classes for therapists who want to improve their therapeutic effectiveness and further develop their professional skills. The Integrative Healing Institute also offers techniques that are easy on the hands. Monthly massage continuing education classes in San Antonio are available throughout the year. We rotate a number of different massage continuing education course classes throughout the year.

Our massage CE hours are approved by the Texas State Department of Health Services (SDHS). They satisfy the yearly requirement that all licensed Massage Therapists receive 6 hours of continuing education course credits from a pre-approved provider. We are located in the Salado Creek Business Park at 3300 Nacogdoches, Suite 110 in San Antonio, Texas. We are 3-5 minutes North of HWY 410 at Nacogdoches. See the map below for directions.

Natural Reflex Therapy® is the massage continuing education technique featured in most of our classes.

Natural Reflex Therapy (NRT) is an advanced massage technique that reduces pain by placing the body into positions of comfort. This amazing technique works with the sensors within our muscles that cause most of our painful symptoms. The correct position allows these sensors to reset and stop firing the protective signals that cause pain. NRT is a form of positional release therapy designed for use by massage therapists. Our NRT massage therapy continuing education classes will give you the continuing education course experience that will change the way you work.BK holding NRT Shoulder Point

No forceful or invasive movements are used in this therapy.  Each technique is always the most comfortable position possible!

In this form of therapy the structure or organization of muscles and joints is seen as responsible for most of the pain that we experience.  An imbalance in the structure is reflected in a dysfunction of the sensors that help control the muscles.

Each dysfunctional sensor shows up in the body as a painful tender point. The client guides the therapist to create a comfortable position around the most tender points. (Over 200 tender points across the body have been documented).

Ilium Release PhotoThrough the capable hands of an experienced NRT therapist a dysfunctional sensor may be repaired within 10 to 90 seconds. The body begins to release spasm, restore normal muscle tone, increase circulation, remove pressure on nerves and joints move more freely. No painful techniques are ever necessary with NRT.  Most acute conditions respond quickly within one to three sessions.

NRT uses reflex points related to the endocrine and lymphatic systems to access and evaluate the overall state of health of the individual.
Points from Chapman’s reflexes, Reflexology and Zone Therapy are tested for tenderness and also used to create positions that benefit overall health.  Chapman’s Reflexes recognizes a relationship between pelvic structural balance and endocrine function. This advanced massage technique is a holistic approach to health care that evaluates and treats the patient as a complex and integrated being.

NRT is a perfect choice for any Massage Therapist who wants to reduce hand pain and work easier. No deep pressure with the thumbs or hands is needed in this massage approach. Students learn to work with their body mechanics to move clients into positions that are comfortable for both client and practitioner. If you are having pain in your hands this is the technique for you! With NRT you can be effective, protect your own health and prolong your career.
