Qi Gong has been practiced in China for several thousand years. The word "Qi" (pronounced chee) means life force energy and the word "Gong" means skill or cultivation. Thus, Qi Gong is the cultivation of the life force energy. Qi gong focuses the mind on breathing deep while making gentle movements, which allows Qi to circulate in the organs, glands and tissues and maximize their function. Qi Gong is an excellent practice in preventative medicine Its overall benefits include:
