All of us suffer from stress-related anxiety, depression and insomnia on occasion. More and more research is showing that alternative therapies such as Acupressure, Yoga, Meditation and Sound Therapy can help to lessen symptoms and quicken recovery time to help you get back to your life.
1. Acupressure: Join Acupuncturist Leslie Droege for Acupressure for Anxiety, Depression and
Insomnia on Thursday April 27th (1pm-5pm) to learn how to work on yourself, family and friends using Acupressure points all over the body. Acupressure can help to decrease stress hormones and induce feelings of calm.
2. Yoga: New research shows that attending Yoga classes two times per week can help reduce symptoms of depression without prescription medications. Join us for one of our weekly Yoga classes or try a Private Session to work one on one with our instructor.
3. Meditation: Mindfulness meditation has been shown to improve a variety of issues including anxiety,
depression, stress, trauma and insomnia. Check out our Meditation & Journaling class on Saturday April 15 (2-5pm) to learn more about sticking with a meditation routine to get the most benefit and work towards your life goals.
4. Sound Therapy: Sound Therapy is the use of music and specific sounds to help relieve stress and anxiety, calm the mind and even help diminish physical pain. Musician Flicka Rahn offers Sound Therapy sessions that may include crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, and a Vibroacoustic mat.
