Sound Therapy with Flicka Rahn
What is Sound Therapy?
Sound Therapy is the use of sound to create an environment of wellness, transformation and restoration within the body, brain and spirit.
How does Sound Therapy work?
Sound Therapy acts like a restorative template for the body to return to a full state of health and wellness. The Sound Therapist uses sound to entrain the "out of tune" parts of the body (presence of pain or discomfort) to return to health. Sound and music are also used to create a profound reduction in stress, pain and anxiety. Binaural beats, rhythmic entrainment, crystal bowl sounds, and guided meditations with music offer multiple ways to address dissonance within the body.
What are the benefits?
Increase in muscular flexibility
Strengthened immune system
Optimum blood flow and circulation
Increased feelings of peace
Additionally, a calm state of mind is supported, and with that, clients experience fewer headaches, less depression and reduced abdominal complaints.
What can I expect?
Clients will experience healing and peace through binaual beat listening which creates meditative brain wave states. A sound bath using the crystal singing bowls, tuning forks and Tibetan metal bowls may be used to target specific energetic issues. Also, guided meditations will create an inner environment of calm and serenity. The session will also include 20 minutes on the VibroAcoustic mat, which delivers low healing frequency into the spine and back. This has been shown to profoundly affect and lesson muscle pain and also increase muscle flexibility. While lying on the mat, the client will also listen to music to entrain the brain to states of calm and joy.
How long does a session last?
Flicka offers 60 minute sessions for $80.
